Real Estate stocks edge lower

Among the components of the BSE Realty index, DLF Ltd (down 4.47%), Sunteck Realty Ltd (down 4.1%),Macrotech Developers Ltd (down 3.95%),Brigade Enterprises Ltd (down 3.79%),Phoenix Mills Ltd (down 3.13%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Godrej Properties Ltd (down 3.1%), Sobha Ltd (down 2.48%), Oberoi Realty Ltd (down 2.46%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (down 2.34%), and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (down 1.93%).

At 13:47 IST, the BSE SmallCap was down 1808.76 or 3.25% at 53840.2.

The BSE 150 MidCap Index index was down 312.28 points or 1.92% at 15954.

The Nifty 50 index was down 189.1 points or 0.76% at 24592.

The BSE Sensex index was down 540.6 points or 0.67% at 80610.67.

On BSE,552 shares were trading in green, 3367 were trading in red and 99 were unchanged.
